Topic: RME HDSP 9632 - New purchase need Firmware update?

Guys,

A few newcomer questions recently from me.  About to buy brand new HDSP 9632 from Thomann and just discovering the Firmware and drivers Download on RME website. 

Would you guys know if this new purchase would require a Firmware update as soon as its installed or how to check if the card is up to date?

It is probably up to date.
Here is how to check!

First install the driver and the card. Open the settings panel and you will see the FW version. Check with the rme site it will tell you which one is latest.
Or:
Start the updater. It will tell you which firmware is on it and which one it will install. If it is the same you are current and can exit. Otherwise update. But as I said, first the driver must be installed.
