Topic: Confused on TotalMix Talkback - Analog In L signal not going to MAINS?

Guys,

I have a simple Desktop Mic setup on Analog 1 L and the healthy signal is heard well via MAIN outs.  I guess I can just mute on/off that channel to use it as a makeshift Talkback if required.  (My Vocal booth is on SPdif IN). 

But I'm confused on the Tmix Talkback feature.  When I try and enable the Talkback setting to the same Analog 1 L and trigger it, I don't hear the signal at all. 

Is this not possible on a HDSP9632?
Where is that healthy signal going to when engaged?

The manual clearly explains the routing and that the talkback signal is going to the Phones, not the Mains. That would just cause feedback in 99% of the use cases.

I finally figured it out last night.

Just disabled Talkback and enabled "Listen Back" on all works well.  Guess the name through me off...
