Topic: AES woes

So I'm looking at the Apogee A16x which is capable of 16 analog inputs and 16 AES I/O.
First 8 analog inputs will be via ADAT.
I just need to find out if it's possible to route two stereo analog inputs between 9-16 to AES out into my RME HDSPe AIO card via AES/Spdif (aes optional routing).. and if I would run into any sort of problems
Any help appreciated smile

Re: AES woes

That sounds more like a question to Apogee ... AES signal is 2 channel

So that has to be routed already at the Apogee properly into 2 channel ...

I'm still waiting for forum activation at apogee..

according to the hdspe manual i can convert the spdif into AES so that should give me a total of 2 AES inputs, the apogee has 16 inputs and AES I/O, i'm hoping to utilize the AES out on the apogee to go into the RME digital section, it should work no?
