Topic: Using Ray-Dat with Cubase 8 Pro, monitoring question...

Hi Everybody,

I need an explanation for routing, if possible.  I would like to monitor what I'm recording through CUBASE PRO 8 listening to the input and being able to effect and EQ things on the way in and hear the changes I'm making.

Is this a limitation of CUBASE or is there a way to route things for proper monitoring?

Thanks

Zucco

Re: Using Ray-Dat with Cubase 8 Pro, monitoring question...

Hardware inputs (upper row) in TM FX are what you get from your input channels on the recording interface.
This input is also directly send to Cubase.

So if you want to monitor what you record, simply make a headphone mix in TM FX
- from your HW inputs (what you record) and
- from SW playback channels if you need to listen what comes from Cubase in terms of virt. instr. or backing track

I recommend you to watch tutorial videos from RME and my 1st setup primer avail. in english and german:
