Topic: Hammerfall DSP Multiface no sound in Windows 7

Greetings and apologies if this has been addressed. Moved my venerable Hammerfall DSP Multiface setup from my XP machine to my Windows 7 machine (Dell Optiplex 9020). Driver is 3.3.8.0, hardware revision 55, looks fine in device manager...no sound. It works perfectly on my XP machine, so it's not a card/interface/cable problem. I've spent a lot of time on a solution and am out of ideas. (I should mention that my PCI card is rev. 1.8.)

Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Current driver version is 4.17.

Thanks. Updated the driver - same scenario. I'm now wondering if it's the PCI slot. I am going to try the Startech PCI Express to PCI adapter card. Seems people have successfully used this with RME cards on computers with no PCI slots.

OK, installed the Startech card and everything works perfectly, so there is a problem with the standard PCI slot on this machine. Hope this helps others in the future. Cheers.
