The old blackface can do 96 kHz? I am not sure....
No, Adat is not working in 96khz (only 48). But in digi there is a setting for these parameters.
but how, i don't know...
Thanks
There aren't that many ADAT devices that really support 96 kHz. I'm pretty certain the Alesis Blackfaces aren't among those...
And a Behringer ADA8000 doesn't support it either. Behringer never said it did and the poor souls on the net who think it works, hadn't noticed they were still getting 48 kHz, but with every channel double.
Of course, RME's own AD preamps support it.
I wonder if a lot of people use 96 kHz icw ADAT?
To state this clearly: if the AD/DA doesn't do 96 kHz on their own, then the setting on the DIGI has zero use. So no 96 kHz with a Blackface.
Thank you for your answers.
But i want to a make record to PC in Cubase. Use Adat (as interface / analog in - optical out) in S-MUX mode through RME Digi 9652 Card. This is also not possible?
Maybe I didn't understand something...
Thanks.
SMUX mode only works when the AD converter itself sends SMUX, which here equals 96 kHz operation., The Blackface doesn't do any of this.
Thanks/
I think I understand how it works.
