Topic: Channel one in the madi stream comes in to channel two in the card

Hello,

Today we resurrected our old HDSPe Madi card which has served us well for many years in an old 2011 Mac Pro. We changed disks in the Mac Pro, installed a fresh 10.9.something and installed the latest drivers and TotalMix.

Now we have run into the weird problem that the channels in the card are offset by one compared to the madi stream. Channel one in the madi stream shows up at input two in the card. 34 shows up at 35 in the card and so on.

This time we use the optical input on the card, in the past we always used the coax connectors.

Is this a configuration problem, a Mac OS version problem, a driver problem or something else?

Thanks,
/Svante

There is no difference in operation based on optical/coax cables. Are you up to date with drivers and firmware? What device is sending the MADI stream?

An additional troubleshooting tip - Patch your card's MADI Output back into the MADI Input and send some signals through - do you also see the channel offset there?

cool

MADIface-XT+ARC / 3x HDSP MADI / ADI648
2x SSL Alphalink MADI AX
2x Multiface / 2x Digiface /2x ADI8

If you see this offset in the TotalMix input level meters then your sending device produces that error.
