hiysa

so i totally get it that you would like to get me top buy ANOTHER RME unit for $2000.000

but
my unit if fine - and it only cost about 4$ to fix.

i certainly didn't mean to get your panties in a twisty by say it is "  Scheiße
but
the opamp was $3
and the caps were $1  ..

certainly better than your EXPERT ADVICE on spending $2000.000  +

... again - all i can do is sigh

yes  I WILL FIX YOUR FF800 for $4 ( if thats what it needs . might be more depending ... etc )
i can and i will
just sent it to me ....

Re: it was about $4 to fixi

Your original post is still here for everyone to see. You did not ask about repair at all, you specificly asked about time and money wasting modifications ( that costs hundreds of Dollars, not 4), and you got an answer to that exact question.

Get your facts right before posting nonsense!

english hiya

my unit died fireface 800 - about a month ago
there was a blown out#4 ( ... ) opamp and caps

fixed

now i see the 2200μF on the psu are not looking so great...

i will get those... later-soon-ish

but the question is - i am looking at putting in more opamps
and
i am really looking for places where it would be a super bad idea
( as opposed to just not really necessary ) to replace opamps

Shirley;

The outs could use better stuff and . the ins too
but
im really just looking for red flags

Reviveaudio.com

On the input stages on these we use High Performance Burr Brown opamps for a warm punchy front end with excellent response and musicality.
On the output stages and headphone amps we use Linear Technologies opamps which offer a very flat response.

A Power supply modification was also performed for maximum bandwidth and to accommodate the additional Current draw from the new Performance opamps.
This includes a whole new power supply
