Topic: [SOLVED] RayDAT installer does not install

I have a brand new clean installed i7 X99 system with Win10prof x64 installed.
I downloaded the driver from the website but after installation there is nothing installed even though the installer says so.
I can search the system for RME, Raydat, totalmix but no trace to be found.

The card is in a x16 slot because the avaiable x4 slot shares bandwidth with the USB3.1 ports and I don't want that.
(Asus X99 A II)

What is going on?

Is the card shown in Device Manager?

Re: [SOLVED] RayDAT installer does not install

Two 'Digital audio (S/PDIF) devices show up but I think this is from the motherboard.

But I don't think this should make a difference for the software installation? There is just no software installed.

UPDATE: I relocated the card into the x4 slot and when I started Windows, Totalmix was suddenly there. The driver CD was in the PC so I don't know if it got installed from there because Windows had already booted when I looked at the screen.

Re: [SOLVED] RayDAT installer does not install

This is 2017, and installing a driver these days means it is added to the Windows driver repository and not added to your system until a matching hardware is found. So the card simply wasn't there, now it is, and the already installed driver was activated...
