Topic: Saved Workspaces and Workspace quick select.

I know there have been postings in the past about this but I couldn't find an answer.

It seems to me that when a workspace is saved via the file menu/save workspace as it can be given it's own destination and file name.

When a Workspace is saved via the workspace quick select option it is saved in the user/preferences/rme total mix fx preferences folder. The difference here is that the workspace file names are preset 1, preset 2 etc. These preset numbers correspond to positions in the quickselect list accessed using 'W'. Although the names in the 'W' list are user defined the corresponding file in the preferences folder is a preset number.

my question is dose anyone know how to delete items in the 'W' quickselect list? There is no delete option in the quickselect menu and if the preset files are deleted from the preference folder their qiuckselect name remains in the list although they are no longer active. In a sense the quickselect name becomes an orphaned alias of the preset file in the preferences folder.

Does anyone know how to clear the list?
All the best.

Re: Saved Workspaces and Workspace quick select.

You can overwrite the existing names with spaces. Deleting the files will make sure nothing happens when you click on such an empty entry.

If you dare to use Regedit you will find the names here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RME\TotalMix FX\SystemSet

Thanks for your reply.

I forgot to say i'm a mac user and Regedit I believe is a windows editor.

But I get that is just an overwrite approach to the space names and preset files.

All the best.
