Topic: How to Monitor Via ADAT outputs?

I just bought a Fireface UFX i want to connect it to my central station monitor system via adat as my main outs how can i do this? i was able to do it very simple with the Focusrite Saffire. but i just cant figure it out with the Fireface any help would be much appreciated thanks in advanced.

I already tried all that but for some reason i can't get any audio playing thru the speakers, i do see the audio playing in the Adat meters channels of the interface but nothing comes out the speakers. what am i doing wrong?

AFAIK central station uses optical spdif. You can set the optical out to spdif in the UFX settings pannel.
Or use the electral spdif, then no setting change needed.

How? The ufx doesn't have spdif outputs

There is an option to convert one of the ADAT Opticals to SPDIF Toslink in the Hammerfall settings applet.  It will then mirror the AES XLR output.

Thank you all for the reply's I'm still a bit confused. lets see. so i can use adat 2 as a spdif output right? so i can connect a toslink optical cable to adat output 2 and the other end to the central station adat input and use it that way?

or i have to connect AES cable and use those? and how can i set this configuration in the RME settings?

You keep mentioning the in on the central station as adat, what does it say on the device or manual? Generic name is optical in and supported formats can be spdif or adat.

If you want to use electrical you need an aes to spdif cable. Which are easy to make. The setting is in the rem panel. it is a tick for adat 2 as spdif or toslink..
