Topic: Talkback and Red Light

Talkback seems straightforward enough through Totalmix - but is it possible to trigger on the Madiface Pro and send to the AES outs of a Micstasy?

Secondly how might I trigger a red light using the Madiface or a compatible remote?

Use punchlight midi for automatic red light.
Or get a producer.com from directout.

Thanks Georg - actually we just got the Punchlight MIDI, which works v nicely with Reaper.

Is there a way to trigger this manually over MADI in case we want to record without the artist knowing?

Not that I know. Other than disabling midi in your daw.

Finally - is there any risk of XTC/Micstasy remote control over MADI interfering with the Punchlight MIDI signal?

Risk of course, but here it works. It is basically a Hardware controller you set up in your DAW when using the punchlight.
My usual setup is
Sequoia - madiface (old)- optical Madi to the stage - Ocatmic XTC with punchlight connected on the midi outs and the talkback on the front headphone outs.
