Topic: TotalMix output to computer system audio

I'm trying to get TotalMix FX 1.40 to send output to my computer system audio, and then to speakers or headphones as I choose.

I have input signals visible in TotalMix hardware inputs from my FF800.

Matrix:  AN 1/2  assigned Out 1, Out 2
This produces signal in the 'Main' meter in Control Room area.
The 'Assign' popup does not have any items referencing system audio targets

Matrix:  AN 1/2  assigned Out 9, Out 10
This produces signal in the AN 9/AN 10 (Phones 1) meter in Control Room area.

I'm running Windows 10 Creator build and my system audio is integrated on a Gigabyte GA-Z270X-UD5 motherboard (RealTek ALC1220 codec). The RealTek HD Audio Manager software utility runs in the background, trying to be helpful whenever I plug in headphones, etc.

This issue has been hard to search for answers to, since the search terms are so generic.

Any tips or random thoughts much appreciated.

(or if I've posted this in the wrong area, plz advise)

Rob

There is no connection to other audio hardware at all. Same the other way round - the Realtek can not send audio to RME.

You can try something like this: http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable

Re: TotalMix output to computer system audio

Thanks all for the thoughts.  I think these virtual cable utilities are indeed a solution.

I checked out both links and ended up trying  the vb-audio one.  Found a YouTube video for guidance and now have some sound from RME in to my computer headphones via RealTek.   Its a crackly, so I apparently need to learn how to configure this better.

But at least I have something to work with now, this is great, thanks again.
