Topic: UXC No sound output through channels 1/2

Hi new to forums!
I have just rented a UXC interface for a performance and am trying to output 4 channel surround from my macbookPro running Sierra 10.12.4. Sound is outputting properly from channels 3/4 and the levels meter is displaying activity in TotalMix FX v1.4 for the first two channels, but no sound is emitting. I have switched out the cables so that is not the issue - is it a simple setting that I am missing? THank you in advance!

Hi, thank you for directing me towards these videos which I have watched now but am still stumped!

audio played from a stereo file is inaudible until I route it through hardware outputs 3 and 4. Similarly, for a four channel file - only the 3rd and 4th are coming through the speakers when appropriately routed.

Are you sure you have working speakers connected at outputs 1/2?

What software do you use and what is set up in macOS X as default audio outputs?
