Topic: RME FF800 compatibility Thunderbolt

Hello 

I haven't used my audio gear for over 3 years so apologies if this is very basic.  I want to set up my gear again as finally have a recording space at home.

I used to run a FF800 with AVID PRO Tools 9 on my macbook pro with Firewire connection 800 and various outboard gear. 
I still have all this but the Macbook is dead.

I wanted to buy a iMac with 2 x Thunderbolt 2 and 4 x USB 3 connections.

Can I connect the FF800 to the iMac via a Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt connection?

You should be able to, via Apple's FW to TB adapter cable...

I use Apple FW to TB adapter cable with my iMac late 2013 and FF800: it works ok
