Topic: LTC time difference between TCO and Seqouia

Hi,

we have a strange problem with our recording setup if we use external timecode. The following setup is used:

2 HDSPe Madi Cards
1 TCO

Sync-Settings:
1. Madi: TCO
2. Madi: internal Sync from Madi 1
TCO: Wordclock 96kHz from Masterclock and an external LTC from video control room
Wordclock is enabled as Clocksource cause LTC only used for APP

Seqouia:
Sync: Default Clock Source from Hammerfall Asio and Asio Position Protocol is enabled with default Settings

our problem:
LTC  Display on Hammerfall Asio Settings say LTC Valid 25Frames and also the time is correct.
If we start Sequoia the transport position ist roundabout 4 - 6 sec to late.

We have tested different buffer settings but the timedelay is always there and it differs from start to start.
On our second system (Protools HD) the LTC works correct.

Anyone an idea?

Use smpte audio in in sequoia. LTc via a normal audio Track. Record it on a separate track for future reference.
Your setup should work, though.

yes we have tested today and it works with smpte and an audio track with setup as Timecode track. But the setup with APP won't work. Do you know any reasons for that? Mostly we have one track spare for Timecode but sometimes we need all 64 tracks to record audio cause we produce classic
