Topic: Babyface Pro Totalmix Mic Gain not working

Hi,
I have a strange problem: I plugged in a Microphone via XLR and switched on the 48 Volts. The Signal is now shown in totalmix - but: I can`t adjust the input-level! I turned the "GAIN"-Knob but nothing happens at all.
It must be pretty simple: Mircrophone is plugged it and on "AN 1" I turn the Gain-Knob - but nothing happens - neither in the DAW nor in the level-Meter inside Totalmix.
What do I do wrong?

thanks
Chris

Gain is in the settings app and not in TotalMix?

At least, that's where it is for me big_smile

Gains are in TM FX unless you have a Fireface 400.

Re: Babyface Pro Totalmix Mic Gain not working

Hi Chris,

There are many links in the chain so to speak. Totalmix can appear very complex to start with and you may have just clicked on something that re-routed the signal somewhere else.

Click on the input in Totalmix, then look at the bottom of the channel to see where the signal is going to. This is a dropdown menu with outputs.

Once you select that output for example phones 7/8, go to output 7/8 and adjust output.

You could also set your main out to be a specific channel.

If you are still stuck, try to upload a screenshot.
