Topic: Analog Input gain of DSD

Hello!
I have a question about DSD recording one more.
Can I not choose the analog input between (Ref Level)+13dBu and +4dBu?
In PCM, a trim gain becomes effective, but DSD does not become effective.
Is there a method in coordination with input levels from (Ref Level)+13dBu and +4dBu?
It is low with +13dBu, but is big with +4dBu...

Re: Analog Input gain of DSD

DSD prevents any kind of digital processing, so it should be easy to underdstand that the digital input gain 0 to +6 dB is not available in DSD mode.

+13 and +4 is a difference of exactly 9 dB. Doing analog recordings a headroom of up to 15 dB is not unusual. Use +13 if +4 is a bit too hot.

Re: Analog Input gain of DSD

Thank you for an answer.
I use +13.
By the way, I am glad when +8 is enabled by firmware update.
Thank you.

Re: Analog Input gain of DSD

A firmware update can not enable something that doesn't exist. The hardware does not have an +8 dBu reference level.
