Topic: UFX+ switch from USB to Thunderbolt without changing cable

Is there any plan to allow for both usb3 and thunderbolt cables to be hooked up to the UFX+ simultaneously and allow us to switch/reboot the UFX+ from usb settings instead of having to plug/unplug the cable to switch?  It would work well when switching from an old mac pro to new macbook pro like I do.

That is not possible technically. TB prevents us from switching between it and other formats. The details behind that are quite complicated. Simply said the disconnection has to happen on the cable/socket level, not on any electronics of the TB interface inside the UFX+.
