Topic: Recording Electric guitar DI and Amp at the same time with only UFX

Hi,

I own a ufx and was wondering if it is possible to plug my electric guitar in the mic preamp input to record a DI track (to use for editing) while also running the electric guitar signal back out of the ufx (direct through) and then into a guitar amp for recording. (amp will be miked up)

I have tried using a boss AB pedal for this but am experiencing too much tone loss.

Thanks,

Nick

Re: Recording Electric guitar DI and Amp at the same time with only UFX

Exactly what I do to build up a parallel effect loop for my marshall.
No tone loss here. The opposite is here the case.
On top of that I can always record my direct guitar signal with DuRec and/or DAW

- for finding the sweet spot of mics
- the right tone on amp / pedal
- for reamping

I can use Durec as tape-deck.
I can directly import Durec files to Cubase if I worked only with the UFX as tape deck.
