When I switch a stereo analog input to mono (UFX+ & XTC), TM splits the shared stereo track (ex. 1+2) to two separate mono faders. When this happens TM automatically pans the first channel of the pair to hard left and the second hard right (L100 & R100).

Should I leave the panning as set by TM or return each channel to center? What effect does this have?  Does the panning of the input source effect what you hear when monitoring or what gets sent to the DAW?
