Topic: ASIO Device name

Hi RME

Why are the Babyface ASIO device channels named with a (1) after each channel?  eg:
Adat 1 (1) + Adat 2 (1)

Why is the HDSPe Madiface ASIO device channels prefixed with HDSPe? eg:
HDSP MADI 5 + 6

But Madiface XT is not... eg:
MADI 5 + 6

Just wondering why the variations?  I have an actual real reason to ask due to some software development, not just being a "nitpicker"....

thanks!
S.

Re: ASIO Device name

The (1) usually comes up when a second interface is adressed by the same driver, and stays (that's a Windows function) when that second one is removed again.

MADIface XT 197 + 198 is too long for some programs. We try to keep the name short.
