Topic: RME UFX spdif connected through aes/ebu

Hi,

I'm just wondering if someone knows the answer here. I am trying to connect a kemper to the ufx. The kemper has to be master and has spdif in/out and I am looking at connecting to the ufx via its aes/ebu in out with the ufx setup to send spdif via its aes/ebu.

I realize that the spdif cable from the kemper should be 75ohm and the aes/ebu should be 110ohm so does this mean that I need a converter between the kemper and ufx?

Or do I just need two spdif to aes/ebu cables to link them because the ufx is only sending spdif via its aes output/input?

Thanks,

Nick

The impedance mismatch is irrelevant at shorter lengths (> 10 meter). As described in the manual a simple cable adapter will just work.
