Topic: BRAND NEW TO RME question

Hi
I am a Universal Audio Apollo user, considering an RME,

With the UA Apollo I get an onscreen console mixer, which I can monitor through for zero latency recording,  is there the same thing with an RME UFX interface?

Many thanks

If you want you can watch the RME Videos to see how it looks and works:

I wrote a little primer for the 1st setup, etc:

Great, it looks a lot more complicated than the UA one however!

Re: BRAND NEW TO RME question

Only on the 1st glimpse, in fact its very user friendly as the concept is very logic and structured.

In the so called submix mode you simply click to an HW output and then mute/unmute the inputs (be it from the device, upper row, or from the applications / daw, middle row) or raise/lower faders to get the desired submix for this particular output. And this you make simply output per output. So in short, every output is a submix of its own.

On top of it you can work i.e. very comfortably storing your required routings to the 8 snapshots on the right side.
You can store/save to disks as many snapshots/workspaces as you like.

And for quick access you have on top 30 "workspace quick select" slots where you can store such combinations of snapshots and workplaces for quick access.

I personally never required more than the 8 Snapshots for i.e. controlling the routing for my demand.
