Topic: Remote Control of Fireface UFX+

I have a Fireface UFX+ and a Madiface USB.

I'd like to be able to use the UFX+ as a remote controlled mic preamp on location, and connect via MADI to my Madiface.

Can I control gains, settings and even line level input trims on the UFX via my Madiface?

Is there a way to easily control a MADI connected remote device via TotalMix, with or without an ARC?

Should be possible in stanalone mode.

Similar like me using in the past the UFX in front of a RayDAT, see this blog article where I described my setup: http://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/inde … ME-RayDAT/

The only problem I see in remote controlling the UFX+.
I think you would need to connect it to your PC as well.
And then work with 2 TM FX instances.

The Octamic XTC is currently the only device which can be used as AUX device in one TotalMix FX instance.

I would wait for a definite answer/confirmation of RME what works, where the limitations are before purchase.
