Topic: Recommended BNC cable from UFX to 8ch preamp

Hello, is it ok a 75Ohm bnc cable to connect the UFX to my Audient 8channel preamp ASP880?
Should I go with the smallest size? I will fix it into a 2u rack for travelling.
Distance from Ufx back to preamp back is 10cm in depth.

50 or 75 doesn't make any difference until a few meters in length...

Why do you take BNC cable / word clock ?

Should you plan to connect your audient preampt digitally, i.e. by ADAT, then simply configure the audient to get clock via ADAT.
Or you could also plug an AES connection for it.

wait.. can I get the audient to get the clock from the ufx via the adat? i mean, preamp adat out->ufx adat in?

I read the manual of the audient, I don't think it can slave to the ufx via adat.

you can slave the ufx to the audient through adat. No reason not to do that with the excellent steadyclock.

sure, got that.
but I would like to slave the external preamp so the clock change accordingly between the two units with the software.
