Topic: Newbie Multiface II Driver Question

Not sure Im on the right forum? pls advise if not

I'm finally putting together a workstation and Im not sure which Audio driver I need?

Ive got:

Win 7 Ultimate on a 64Bit machine
HDSP PCI internal card-Firewire interface
HDSP Multiface II 36ch 24bit Halfrack Interface BOX connected to the PCI with firewire

The drivers I see avail show a PCI card that doesnt look like mine?

Can someone advise as to which driver I need to get my audio working thru the RME?

Thx!

Re: Newbie Multiface II Driver Question

If you look to the product pages .. which HDSP PCI cards do you see ?
HDSP 9652 HDSP 9632

If you look to the RME driver download page, which TAB ist for your card ?
http://www.rme-audio.de/en/downloads/driver/hdspe.php
"HDSPe / Thunderbolt"

Now click to the proper Operating system
"Windows WDM streaming driver (32/64 Bit)"

The name of your card was either  HDSP 9652 or 9632

Which driver matches to it  ? Its written there:
"HDSP/HDSPe MADI, AES, RayDAT, 9632, 9652, AIO, MADIface, Multiface, Digiface, RPM"

So this is your driver: driver_hdsp_win_421.zip

Was that so tricky ?

Similar story for the other card ...

BR Ramses - UFX III, 12Mic, XTC, ADI-2 Pro FS R BE, RayDAT, X10SRi-F, E5-1680v4, Win10Pro22H2, Cub13

Re: Newbie Multiface II Driver Question

Also the 'HDSP PCI' is not a FireWire interface.

Re: Newbie Multiface II Driver Question

Thx Guys!
thus  was my confusion because the images of both of the cards listed for drivers look NOTHING like mine and right from the RME site, description says (The connection between PCI card and I/O box is established using ordinary firewire cable (IEEE 1394, 6-pole.) saying it is Firewire.

Re: Newbie Multiface II Driver Question

And I repeat: the Multiface etc are not FireWire interfaces. The connector and cable is in the FireWire form factor, but it is NOT FireWire protocol/standard on the cable.
