Topic: Fireface UFX not powering up correctly

Hello! First post here and was hoping to get some help:

I've had my Fireface UFX for about eight months and it's fantastic. Today I woke up to a faint "clicking" that was constant and noticed my UFX was continually powering itself on and off. It powers itself on for about half a second and shuts off and continues to do this endlessly. I checked bypassing the Furman and routing my power directly into the wall but it has the same issue. Has anyone else encountered this?

whoa... scary!

no, luckily never had this happening to my own. but, if you bypassed anything else in its AC path, then i'd be tempted to point finger to its internal PSU.

tempted, only, and anyway not before having made sure to check if it still happens in another mains outlet, another mains cable, possibly another mains system (house or building), and not before making sure this still happens even without any other cable plugged-in in your UFX.

i'd call this strange, but then i often realise i tend to call strange lots of things, and all of those i can't explain. :-)
