Topic: Fireface 802 - silence + midi out flashing when Logic song opened

Hi all, just installed Komplete Kontrol S88 in my studio, to do that I had to update Mac OS X to !0.11.6 (early 2009 Mac Pro) and Logic to !0.3.3.
Fireface now silent although updated - have tried USB and Firewire - signal appears to be going through normally on Totalmix, but no audio output and the midi out green light blinks regularly on and off when a song is opened in Logic (only then). I notice now that the green channel lights are also not on.
Just playing audio out of the Mac (iTunes say) I have audio coming out of the inbuilt speaker if selected in audio preferences, but but silence if I select the Fireface 802 so I know that the issue must be with the FF not the internal audio of the computer.
Very confusing and frustrating - anybody come across anything similar?

....OK, solved this one!!

Got onto Rob at Synthax Audio who was incredibly helpful - talked me through all the symptoms and behaviour and managed to prove that the problem didn't lie with the Fireface.

It eventually turned out to be a loose D-sub connector on the back of the mixing desk........

There are SO many ways to get it wrong....
