Topic: FireFace 400 issue

After being a very proud owner of a babyface (never a single problem) I upgraded to a fireface 400.

The fireface constantly disconnects from my MacBook and sometimes won't connect back for days.

I've tried changing the wires, reinstalling the drivers, running the power from firewire, running the power from the supply. It works for a bit then just disconnects.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? I've just literally never come across something like this before where it works sometimes and not others, can't make any sense of it.

Please explain exactly how you connect to the Macbook and how you power the FF400.

Hi Jeff! Many thanks for the response, two ways I’ve tried.

Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter from my MacBook Pro
Connected to the Firewire port in my thunder monitor (in turn connected to the MBP via thunderbolt)

What does 'disconnect' mean? Allt the lights flash at least one time? Or just the red host LED comes up?
