Topic: Adi2-PRO Foobar DSD playback

Hi all,

I am looking for the correct settings of the DSD playback in Foobar2000 using Adi2-PRO.
I have used the following instructions:

But this is still very confusing as there are so many options. What is the optimal way to playback DSD?
Right now subjectively the best sounding is DSD:ASIO:ASIO MadIface USB output mode but it seems that the SR is getting capped at 176,4Khz instead of 2822400 Hz. State overview shows DSD as beeing used.

Where do you see the "capped" SR? Mind that some of the audio material may have originally been recorded/processed in PCM (esp. for multitrack mixin/processing).

Maybe it's not capped but the indication/information about the Sample Rate is confusing.

Could you please provide the best practice configuration of Foobar so that I can eliminate any errors through the wrong config?

I am playing DSD128 file now and it shows SR 352,8. File information in the Foobar shows 5644800 Hz.

Im afraid I can't really provide configuration advice for Foobar - perhaps there is a user forum for it somehwere...?

All correct. Relationship between DSD rate and the unit's sample rate is explained in the ADI-2 Pro manual.

From what you have said you are runing foobar in Dop or SACD in foobar is set to PCM output . What  Super Audio CD Decoder Input PlugIn and ASIOProxy foo_dsd.asio are you using all set must be right in Dop or native dsd.
