Topic: Babyface and SCHIIT Asgard 2 Amplifier

Hi,

I recently purchased a SCHIIT Asgard amp to power my Sennheiser HD650's and the Babyface (original) headphone output doesn't have enough juice to power maximize the headphones.  I'm just wondering what sort of cabling I require to connect the Babyface to the Asgard which use RCA inputs/outputs.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

That is impossible. The Asgard has a hi gain switch in the back - overlooked?

Cable is a simple TRS to two RCA. Standard, easy to get.

Hi MC,

Not sure what you mean? Do you mean you cannot connect the Asgard to the Babyface because of the hi gain switch? Ah yes, you're totally right about the cable, not sure why this troubled me in the first place.

I mean the HD650 will be as loud as possible, with the Asgard at full output level/power, when connecting the BF's phones output and using the Asgard's Hi Gain switch. If not then you did not raise the level enough in TM FX.

Oh yes absolutely, what I meant is when the HD's are connected to BF's headphone output only without added amplication.  I used to have a Creek OBH11 amp and the difference was quite noticable when compared to a stock BF.

Thanks for the help!
