Topic: UFX + ADI 8 DS Mkiii + Mytek Stereo 96 ADC

Hi dear RME users.
It's my first post here.
I just bought an ADI 8 DS Mkiii to expand my imput on my UFX. I already have a Mytek Stereo 96 ADC.

I connected the ADI to the UFX Adats (1), the Mytek is plugged to the AES (xlr) port. I linked the 3 units with WordClock cables like this :
UFX out to ADI in
ADI out to Mytek in
Mytek out to UFX in

I think it's correct. In the Fireface Settings, I checked the Clock Mode with Word. My 3 UFX leds State are stable.

Do I need to action the Word 75 button on the rear pannel of my 2 RME units ?

How can I record the 14 UFX Analog Imput (including the Mytek) + the 8 ADI Imput all together in 88.2 or 96 Khz ?

Do you have any advice to improve my situation ?

For clock you dont build a ring

I think my Clock is ok, everything seems fine and stable.

Anyone for an advice to maybe improve my installation ?

If you ask for advice listen to it ;-)
First you decide which device is best as master, then you decide how. WC is your last choice. The ADI is best clocked via adat. I would make the Mytek master. Slave the UFX via AES and clock the ADi as slave to UFX adat. Your way is ok too but leave out the WC from mytec to UCX, it is redundant. So UFX master slave ADI either via WC or Adat. AND slave Mytec via WC (best to UFX if that is the master).
