Topic: Fireface UFX - Getting ADAT 2 input to operate as optical SPDIF

Hello.

I'm trying to get the ADAT 2 input on my Fireface UFX to receive optical SPDIF. It works fine with 8 channel ADAT, but I can't seem to find the settings to 'switch it over'.

I realise there is an 'ADAT 2 Output' setting that can be changed in the 'Fireface settings', but this doesn't seem to make a difference. (But I only want to change the input anyway.)

I'm not sure what I am missing as the manual says that ADAT 2 input can be used to receive optical SPDIF.

AES Input - Source ADAT2. Manual page 16.

Thanks. I'm using the AES XLR input for another input. Can I not use the two at the same time? (This might be my misunderstanding).

Correct, that is not possible.
