Topic: Fireface 800 and AKG702

Hi All,

I have had a set of AKG702s for around 3 years now and have never used them as i didnt have anything good enough to drive them properly.

Will the headphone out on the fireface 800 drive these correctly?

The AKG702 have a impedance of 62ohms, my Audio Technica ATM-M50s sound lovely with it, but they are far easier to drive.

This is not about sound but volume. The 702 has no problem with the 30 Ohm output impedance of the FF800, as its impedance is straight enough over the audio range. But it is very insensitive (18 dB difference to your ATH-50). Simply try if the FF800 gets loud enough for you.
