hey there,
i had to reset my Mac book pro recently.
now I have to install again the firmware and drivers for my fireface 400.
thing is, I could install the driver, because the download can be found on the RME-site.
whereas I do not find anywhere a download possibility for the firmware.
can anyone help?

Firmware file is called Flash Update Tool (FUT).
FUT for Fireface400 on Mac is here: https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/fu … re_x86.zip
Once done the firmware of the Fireface 400 stays in the unit, so there is need to update it again.

unfortunately, this didn't work.
when I try to install link you sent, it says:
no driver or device is found.
what I could install is the latest driver from the RME-site.
but this doesn't help either for I can see the RME-symbol,
but nothing happens, when I click on it.
also, I attached the sound card, but this makes no difference either.
seems like there's still something missing.
anyone knows, what else I could do?

also, I just saw,
the file you did send me was an update,
that requires the basic firmware to be installed.
but that firmware is what I am missing and I can't find anywhere to download.
that might be the reason it won't work...
any idea, what I could do?

What OS version is on your MacBook now?
it is Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.3.
sorry, I now understand, the firmware is on the card all the time.
I just don't know, how to solve it for it still says,
"no device or driver is installed"
every time I double-click the Fireface flash - program...
You need to install a suitable driver, otherwise the firmware update software can not access the unit.
