Topic: RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface 1 flash error

Firmware chip destroyed? sad

Fresh Installed windows 10 and drivers. picture 1 shows up

Downloaded both. When i run ''fut_wdm_dsp'' windows crashes when updating. picture 2

When i run ''fut_wdm_dspe'' it updates without crash but after restart it asks again for update picture 3

also now  the error red light is on.

What for a card do you have btw ? Cardbus, PCI or PCIe ?

Do you have perhaps also a Win7 PC where you could try whether the firmware upgrade works there ?

It seems you are connecting the unit to Firewire, which could damage it.

If the flash update works, there seems to be an RME card in the system, though. The update is for the card, not for the Multiface. But the fut clearly states that you need to switch the PC off and on again, a restart is not enough.

Yes i tried also turn off shoutdown and turn on again. Same thing

How should i connect RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface 1 to pc so i can successfully update firmware?

There is nothing to update on the external unit. You can only update the card. If switching off the PC is not enough, pull the plug for a minute or two when it has shut down.

Does this utility updates the internal card or the DSP Multiface?
Also plz where can i download the latest drivers for this card?

I also tried to let pc turned off for around 10 min. Still pcie_fut.exe shows program status: not updated

Is this utility the correct tool for RME Hammerfall DSP?

It updates the PCI not the external box and no it is https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/fut_win_dsp.zip
You have a PCI not a PCIe
