Topic: ADI-2 DAC chip question

As far as I know, ADI-2 DAC uses the AKM AK4490 DAC chip.

Question:
DAC Сhip AKM AK4497 (Flagship chip) is not used because the final price of the device will grow or for some other reason?

my take on DAC chips: the model number doesn't matter all that much, what does is however, how the given chip is implemented. Newer one won't necessarily be "better"
I think the choice of the DAC chip RME made is solid in this unit.
