Topic: Ability to maintain volume control with analog output for safety?

I would like to use the RME ADI-2 (DAC or PRO FS) directly with a power amp.

I've read that in certain condition (Direct DSD) the volume control is bypassed.

This might accidently create a very unpleasent/dangerous condition (to me and speakers).

Is it possible to make sure the unit won't go to Direct DSD / Always maintain volume control regardless of what the player is feeding it?

Do not enable DSD Direct, and DSD stays with Volume control (this is factory default).

I thought it would be automatically go to this mode for higher DSD formats. Gladly stand corrected.
