MADIface series driver 0.9540 for Windows has been released:
- Option 'Mirror MADI 1 Output' disabled channels Analog 1/2, AES and Phones when used with USB3
A new firmware for the MADIface XT and the HDSPe MAD FX has been released, available as FUT for Wndows, Mac, USB and PCIe. It prevents a seldom case of limited number of FX although DSP resources are still available.
Windows USB driver 0.9573 for the MADIface series is the first RME driver to be digitally signed by Microsoft. It can be installed and used on a fresh Windows 10 Redstone installation, even if Secure Boot is activated (the other drivers will follow).
0.9573 also adds support for the OctMic XTC, making it possble to use it as WDM/ASIO multichannel audio interface under Windows. The OctaMic XTC needs a firmware update (v47) for this functionality.
Windows USB driver 0.9573 for the MADIface series has been reuploaded with added signatures for Windows 7 and 8.

Windows HDSPe FX driver 2.09 and UFX+ Thunderbolt driver 1.10 are now fully digitally signed. They also include the latest TotalMix FX 1.35.
Windows HDSPe FX driver 2.09 and UFX+ Thunderbolt driver 1.10 have been reuploaded. Same version number, but dated 11/08-09/2016. They can now be installed and will work with any version of W7, 8.0, 8.1 and 10, no matter if updates etc had been installed for the OS or not.
The same applies to the new MADIface Series driver 0.9583.
Mac HDSPe FX driver 1.21 and UFX+ Thunderbolt driver 1.05 now include TotalMix FX 1.35.
Windows UFX+ Thunderbolt driver 1.11 fixes a problem with MIDI over MADI inputs, seeing only corrupted MIDI data.
Updated drivers with TotalMix 1.40:
UFX+ USB Windows 0.9590, Mac 2.20/3.01
HDSPe FX Windows 2.10, Mac 1.22
Thunderbolt Windows 1.12, Mac 1.06
We released an important and urgent Thunderbolt firmware update for the UFX+, version 98. This version fixes two bugs that unfortunately could completely disable both MIDI and audio functionality. Please make sure that you update your UFX to this new version 98. Sorry for any trouble this might have caused!
The new firmware TB 98 DSP 39 USB 44 is now available for the UFX+.
News:
- USB 3 workaround added for Surface Book / GenesysLogic USB Hub compatibility
- Reduced resources for USB 2 improves compatibility with other devices on the same USB port
- Fixed failing flash process when record/playback is active
- Display changes to Volume screen when changing Volume at the host, also via ARC USB connected to the computer
DURec news:
- Recorded wav files now include meta data in iXML standard, mainly recording device, date and time, track count and channel info.
- To keep and make use of this info an updated Wav File Batch Processor is also available (see forum post about TotalMix FX 1.43). This version names the generated files according to the original record channel. For example UFX 00_I_05.wav is a recording of input channel 5. The updated Processor also writes the respective iXML data into the output files.
- Added new play modes: Repeat single, Repeat all, Single next (plays the current track and switches to the next one without playing it).
- Added new transport buttons: Previous file / Next file. These are shown in playback mode instead of Del and Record. With Pause active Previous/Next works without starting playback.
- Improved compatibility of DURec playback function
- New functions Next/Previous added for stand-alone operation with ARC USB (buttons Snap 7 and Snap 8)
To use the new DURec features under Windows / Mac TotalMix FX 1.43 is available as beta in the TotalMix FX forum.
A new firmware for MADIface XT, USB 183 DSP 42 is now available.
News:
- USB 3 workaround added for Surface Book / GenesysLogic USB Hub compatibility
- New feature Keys & Encoder lock: Options - Hardware/Diagnosis - Lock Keys/Enc. Deactivation by pressing the key SETUP for 2 seconds.
The new Mac USB drivers 2.21 and 3.03 with TotalMix FX 1.43 are now available for download on our website.
More Mac drivers have been updated with TotalMix FX 1.43. Thunderbolt driver 1.08 kept the smaller Safety Offset that we introduced in test version 1.07, see here:

The Windows MADIface series driver 0.9613 is now available. It fixes a crazy bug that sometimes enabled the 'Limit ASIO to 32 channels' option in the Settingsdialog even when not shown as active, and with no way to disable it.
MADIface series driver 0.9634 is now available. It features the new sort option on the About tab of the Settings dialog as introduced in version 0.9619 here in the forum, plus:
- UFX+ USB 3.0: The option 'ISO Record' in the Settings dialog did not switch from Bulk mode to isochronous streaming with the UFX+. This is necessary with current AMD computers (Ryzen), as their Bulk mode is fragile for audio transmissions.
- ADI-2 DAC: The record channels have been renamed from Analog to SPDIF.
New USB firmwares for MADIface XT (189), MADIface USB (23) and UFX+ (46), Mac and Win: MIDI data present at the MIDI input port during boot of the device caused the MIDI port to become unusable.
New firmwares for HDSPe MADI FX, MADIface USB and UFX+, in all formats (E-PCIe, USB, TB). The phase relationship between word and MADI output was inverted. This could cause compatibility problems.
New firmware for UFX+, DSP Firmware 41:
- Termination of the coaxial MADI In revised
- DURec with ARC USB: Stop of the recording now requires to hit the Stop button 2 times.
- Extended timer to stay in DURec screen after connecting the USB record medium
Windows MADIface Series driver 0.9653 is a minor update fixing a crash when doing a Surprise Removal (disconnect the audio interface while the DAW is running) under Cubase. In version 0.9650 a memory leak was removed that also occured when doing a Surprise Removal.
New drivers available:
Mac: HDSPe FX driver 1.24 and UFX+ Thunderbolt driver 1.09 now include TotalMix FX 1.50.
Win: HDSPe FX driver 2.12 has TotalMix FX 1.50 and a bugfix for WDM devices: in specific situations a playback stop did not work as expected in multi-client operation. Note: Other drivers do not have that problem.
Windows MADIface series driver 0.9673 has been released. This version retains the speaker configuration from the Sound control panel after reboot. It also has a small fix for Digiface USB WDM Phones Out at Double and Quad Speed, which was muted then.
New releases on the website's download page:
- MADIface series driver 0.985. Includes TotalMix FX 1.61.
- MADInet driver 0.9406 for Digiface Dante and Digiface AVB
- New firmware 36 for Digiface Dante and 206 for Digiface AVB. Important: these firmwares are no longer compatible to older driver versions!
- Mac USB driver 3.16 has been released, including TM FX 1.61 and support for the latest changes in DF Dante and DF AVB
macOS 10.15 drivers are now available as preview for testing:

The release versions for Catalina are all up. We had to update some of them again, here HDSPe series to 4.15 and MADI FX to 1.27. Reasons:
- Bug fix: MID Input did not work anymore (both)
- Fixed: partly black letters in Settings dialog with Dark mode (only HDSPe series)
HDSPe Series driver 4.15_2, MADI FX driver 1.28 and Thunderbolt driver 1.12 have been released on our website. They bring back compatibility to 32 bit mode of the MIDI server.
We have split the USB series Mac driver 3.19, which was just released, into two installation packages: one with the driver only, and one with the driver plus a software USB-Ethernet adapter. The latter is a useful but not required addition for Digiface Dante and AVB only (the network interfaces).
The reason: Apple has declared that USB-Ethernet adapter Legacy, and since 10.15.4 warns upon installation that it might get unusable in the future.
So for all others (not using a DF Dante or AVB) we made the installer without network add-on, to not get worried and not flood our hotline with unnecessary questions.
See also the notes in the driver archive readme file.
The Mac Thunderbolt driver 1.21 for the UFX+ is for macOS 11 only and runs on both Intel machines and M1 machines.
