Topic: 0db Main Outs jump on ASIO inititialisation

Posted this over at BF Pro thread but maybe got overlooked - maybe better to post here.
Upon ASIO initialisation/reset the main outputs (of my BF Pro, but I'm guessing for other interfaces too?) will jump to 0dB, which is really irritating and means scrabbling for the main dial to pull down. Is it possible to just leave the main outputs level as is, completely under user control please?

Or is this a Windows system? If so, please provide more details.

This is on a Mac - thanks ever so much for the link and solution!! I did try searching but obviously not hard enough.
