hi,
like the title says i hook my hdsp card to tascam via D-sub connectors, should i tick the professional setting. in the manual says "The status 'Professional' should always be active when sending data to a device with AES/EBU
inputs (when the XLR connectors are used).

Yes, this is AES/EBU over the DSUB cable.
