I am having issues with the FF400 not being recognised when connected to my mac -- I have owned the FF400 since years always worked reliably till recently-

in the past two months it has not been 100% reliable from time to time it's not recognised as being connected host light stays red-
I need 100% reliable behaviour as I use it professionally on stage-

I thought it was the cable bought a new one -- also happens.
Tried other port for now it works but ... who knows.

The only new thing on my side soundflower -- any known issues there?

If the problem is intermittent, could it be hardware related -- chip or FF-ports on the rme?
