Topic: Latency in Mainstage ADI-2 Pro vs Old Babyface

Hi,

In mainstage, advanced audio settings is reporting 6.6ms roundtrip (3.0ms output) using 16 sample buffer w/ I/O safety buffer.  My original babyface reports 3.6ms roundtrip (1.9ms output) for the same settings.  I have a top end Macbook and can run the ~10 plugins I need using the babyface without glitches.  Why is latency higher for ADI-2 Pro (Not FS)?

Because it uses Apple's own Class Compliant driver, which is not the best in terms of latency.
