Topic: Using the ADI-2 Pro as a monitor-controller

Hi RME

Quick question:

I'm using the ADI-2 Pro (not FS) to feed my active monitors directly. Recently i picked up an additional set of nearfields, which are currently fed from the Phones 1/2 output, so i can switch between my mains (connected via XLR) and nearfields with a long push on the volume button - and it's working great big_smile

But i was wondering if the output jacks on the back have a separate relay, so instead of switching between XLR / Phones 1/2 i could switch between XLR and the rear TS jacks. My request is partly for cosmetic reasons (not having fixed cabling from the front of the unit) and partly to reserve Phones 1/2 as an additional headphone output ..

The rear outputs all use the same relais (internally called Line mute).

Easiest would be perhaps to combine the ADI-2  Pro with a recording interface, UC, UCX, 802, UFX*, AIO for this purpose. Then you get Totalmix FX on top, also 1 or 2 additional phones output's and you will be able to use ARC USB.

So... if you have audio interface & Totalmix FX, alongside ADI-2  Pro, you CAN switch between rear output XLR and TS jacks (like Speakers-A and Speakers-B) ?

See Handbook chapter 17.2 ... The block diagrams give you the answer to that.
