Topic: Using outboard/external compressor with Babyface Pro

So, I was able to get a rack mounted compressor which has an expander/gate feature and I want to use the same preamp that the Babyface Pro has. Is it possible to do so?

If yes, is the cable routing gonna be like Mic>BBFP>1 line out from BBFP to compressor input>1 line output from compressor to BBFP line in?
