Topic: ADI-2 DAC: Remote Dekstop / foobar / Win10

The ADI-2 DAC is connected via USB to a HTPC with Win10.
The HTPC and/or foobar is controlled using Windwos Remote Desktop.
When closing the RDP Session the playback stops.

ADI reads on the display: USB disconnected.
What is correct, because whenever you close a RDP sesseion, there is a small gap when the host drops the RDP control and returns to native operation.

Is there an option to extend the USB time out on the ADI-2 DAC?

To NOT stop the playback of foobar.

Re: ADI-2 DAC: Remote Dekstop / foobar / Win10

With a missing USB port Foobar stops audio output because audio can no longer be transmitted via ASIO or WASAPI or whatever you use. The DAC has no influence on that.

Re: ADI-2 DAC: Remote Dekstop / foobar / Win10

This is correct on one hand.
But on the other hand, when connectig the HTPC with my Zodiac+, foobar playback stops for a second or so, but then keeps on playing. ADI-2 DAC does not and other DACs I owned or tested earlier keept the playback after a short interruption alive.

You are right, it's a simple setup in foobar's device hierarchy:
Chose primary sound device instead of a dedicated device, then foobar resumes playback after a very short break when quitting RDP.
