Topic: RME UFX TotalMix and Presonus Faderport few questions

Hello,

I know that TotalMix can support control surface protocol, but I have few questions - I'm considering Presonus Faderport 8, but I don't really mind going into other direction if someone have an opinion. But my questions:
1) Is it possible to trigger talkback from control surface? As this is rather DAW dedicated controller I can't find anything on the front panel?
2) How does it work in general? TotalMix can have different IN fader values (monitoring) per physical output - if will click different output I assume those faders will just change its locations on my control surface, right? But there is probably no way to change currently selected output from control surface itself, is that correct?

Thank you all in advance.

Re: RME UFX TotalMix and Presonus Faderport few questions

I'm using old Faderport as main volume controller only for my RME HDSPe AIO,
tricky thing is Faderport cannot be custom configured, so translation of commands is required,
I use Bome MIDI Translator to shift bits from 1024 fader steps to get unsigned output of 0-127 values totalmix accepts

HDSPe AIO, ADI-2 DAC, Fireface UFX, Octamic D, Octamic II
Reaper, Windows 11, M2 Studio
