I have the first version of the UFX (not the UFX+ or UFX II).

The display controls' button functions are no longer working.

I am able to turn up the headphone/main volume and adjust the gain on the mic pres with the two smaller knobs, but pressing in any of the knobs does nothing.

I'm hoping this may just be a firmware issue and that I don't have dead buttons...

I am running Mac OS 10.10 on a 5,1 Mac Pro cheese grater. RME USB driver ver 2.22.

I did have to get a repair done on the front panel USB port a while back after accidentally bending a USB thumb drive... I'm afraid this may be related.
