Topic: BO-968 AES/EBU with 9652?

Can anyone tell me if BO-968 AES/EBU is compatible with 9652?
Which are the compatible choices for the 9pin connector to these cards?

EDITED .. got the 2nd adapter wrong in the old post.

Look at the accessories page: http://www.rme-audio.de/products/cables.php#4

The breakout cable BO968 doesn't list your card 9652.
There is another breakout cable for your 9652 card available (EDITED: BOHDSP9652)

You can see in the pictures of the accessories webpage, that the breakout cables have different types of i/o.

So you require BOHDSP9652 for your 9652.

Thank you for the reply ,

the 9652 does have a 9 pin port which is what the B0 968 uses as well ,
they both have spdif I/O only difference is the second connector D-sub vs AES . Im only interested in using the spdif connection thats why I asked .

You could have said this directly wink

In a good case of luck you should be able to see the pinout in the handbook.

EDITED: sorry no, see my last post #6

Re: BO-968 AES/EBU with 9652?

I looked for you into the handbooks.

The pinout for the 9632 card's 9-pin D-type connector (cable BOBO968) is described in the manual, see chapter 34.2.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wbbpp0qw9fjkmv/2018-11-30%2016_37_47-hdsp9632%209-pol%20pinout.jpg?dl=1

But the pinout is missing in the 9652 card's manual for the BOHDSP9652 breakout cable. I also looked at the old DIGI cards handbooks (DIGI 9636, DIGI 9652), but also there no pinout for the 9-pin connector included.

So this can be answered only by RME.

Re: BO-968 AES/EBU with 9652?

ADAT Sync connector
Pin   Signal             Pin     Signal
9      SPDIF In +       5       SPDIF In -
6      SPDIF Out +     1       SPDIF Out -

They are not compatible.
